Xiaomi recently announced a personnel adjustment, appointing Sun Qian as President of Tianxing Digital and General Manager of the Strategic Investment Department. He will report to Lin Shiwei, Group Vice President and CFO.
Meanwhile, Yue Kai, the former President of Tianxing Digital, has been transferred to the Finance Department as Vice President, also reporting to Lin Shiwei. The roles of Sun Qian and Yue Kai have effectively been swapped.
Tianxing Digital was formerly known as Xiaomi Finance. In 2019, Xiaomi Finance was rebranded as Xiaomi Digital, and in 2020, it was renamed Tianxing Digital. In September 2022, Xiaomi appointed Lin Shiwei as Chairman of Tianxing Digital, reporting to Group CEO Lei Jun. Yue Kai, then General Manager of the Digital Industry Finance Department, was named President of Tianxing Digital, reporting to Chairman Lin Shiwei.
Sun Qian previously worked at PwC, leading IPO compliance audits. After joining Xiaomi, he served as a financial executive overseeing financial planning and capital management. Yue Kai was previously employed at China Minsheng Bank before joining Xiaomi in 2018, where he held roles including General Manager of Supply Chain Finance, General Manager of Digital Industry Finance, and President of Tianxing Digital.
