EMCOR Group Inc. (EME) shares soared 14.75% in pre-market trading Thursday, following the release of its second-quarter financial results that significantly exceeded analyst expectations and a raised full-year outlook.

The mechanical and electrical construction services provider reported Q2 diluted earnings of $9.06 per share, a 35% surge from the prior year, and revenue of $5.15 billion, up 20% year-over-year. Both figures handily beat consensus estimates, which had called for EPS of $7.20-$7.21 and revenue of $4.71 billion. Operating income also jumped 31.8% to $547.3 million, with operating margin widening to 10.6%.

In addition to the strong quarterly results, EMCOR lifted its full-year 2026 guidance. The company now anticipates diluted EPS in the range of $32.00 to $33.25, up from its previous forecast of $28.25 to $29.75, and revenue between $20.0 billion and $20.5 billion, compared to the prior range of $18.5 billion to $19.25 billion. The upgraded outlook reflects sustained demand across key sectors, record remaining performance obligations, and successful project execution.
