PSBC's Jiangsu and Nanjing Branches Fined 1.4 Million Yuan for Regulatory Violations

On May 18, according to penalty disclosure information from the National Financial Regulatory Administration's Jiangsu Bureau, the Jiangsu Branch of Postal Savings Bank of China Co., Ltd. (PSBC) was fined 1 million yuan for multiple regulatory violations. These included improperly handling domestic letter of credit business under financial leasing arrangements, conducting insufficient due diligence on applicants for self-operated forfaiting business, and inadequate verification of accounts receivable authenticity in factoring financing business.

Additionally, Xue Xin, then Deputy General Manager of the Transaction Banking Department at PSBC's Jiangsu Branch, received a warning and a fine of 70,000 yuan.

Separately, the Nanjing Branch of Postal Savings Bank of China Co., Ltd. was fined 400,000 yuan for failing to conduct prudent customer due diligence in its bank acceptance draft business.

Concurrently, Liang Lei, then Deputy General Manager of the Transaction Banking Department at PSBC's Nanjing Branch, was issued a warning and fined 60,000 yuan.
