DOBOT Unveils Vega 7 Next-Generation Native Embodied Seven-Axis Force-Controlled Arm with 50,000-Hour Mean Time Between Failures

Deep News10-14

From October 20 to 22, along the banks of Shanghai's Huangpu River, the 2026 Sustainable Global Leaders Conference returns once again. Nobel and Turing Award winners will take the stage to discuss the future and trends of technology, and the internet-famous professors who "rescue" people from anxiety and involution—Macfarlane and Xiang Biao—will hold a live dialogue!

Limited seats available, first come first served. Let us embark together on the journey toward sustainability! [Click to Register] Sina Tech News, October 14 morning report—recently, at the Shanghai Industrial Expo, DOBOT held a new product launch event themed "Dare to Imagine, Only Then Can You Surpass," officially unveiling the next-generation native embodied seven-axis force-controlled arm, the DOBOT VEGA 7, targeting wheeled dual-arm systems, industrial mobile operations, and embodied intelligence development.

According to the launch materials, the VEGA 7 achieves an MTBF (mean time between failures) of 50,000 hours, comes standard with electromagnetic brakes on all joints, and carries an IP54 protection rating.

The VEGA 7 also features torque sensors as standard on all joints, supporting contact perception, compliant control, collision detection, and drag-and-teach functionality. Its force-control accuracy is ≤0.15N, torque-control accuracy is ≤0.05N·m, and force-control resolution is ≤0.01N·m, providing a development and validation platform for tasks such as precision insertion and extraction, small-part assembly, and dual-arm coordination.

The VEGA 7 adopts a seven-axis redundant design with a rated payload of 7kg, a working radius of 725mm, and repeat positioning accuracy of ±0.03mm. The entire unit features a large hollow internal cable-routing design, with dual expansion interfaces at the end effector, supporting communication methods including EtherCAT, CAN, and RS-485, and providing power supply capability of 3A rated and 5A peak.

At the launch event, DOBOT's Xie Junjie disclosed that DOBOT has become the shared choice of more than 100 Fortune Global 500 companies, with a global customer repurchase rate exceeding 60%. Also appearing on the same stage were the PULSA, which breaks through efficiency boundaries with its "dare to be faster" approach, and the CRH high-performance collaborative robot, which makes production line deployment simpler with its "dare to be minimalist" design.
