Lenovo's Stock Hits Record High on AI PC Momentum and NVIDIA's Entry

Stock News06-02

Lenovo Group's (HKEX: 00992) share price surged over 8% during the trading session, reaching a new all-time high of HK$27.42. At the time of writing, the stock was up 6.1% to HK$26.78, with a trading volume of HK$19.78 billion.

The rally is fueled by NVIDIA's official announcement on June 1st to enter the personal computer processor market, targeting the general-purpose computing chip segment for PCs.

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang stated at the Taipei International Computer Show that starting this autumn, major PC brands including Dell and Lenovo will begin rolling out laptops and desktops equipped with the RTX Spark super chip.

This news follows recent financial reports from Dell and Lenovo that significantly exceeded market expectations.

Lenovo Group's AI transformation has been fully realized, with its full-year AI-related revenue for the 2025/2026 fiscal year growing 105% year-over-year, now accounting for 33% of total revenue.

In the fourth fiscal quarter, AI revenue growth remained robust at 84%, and quarterly net profit doubled year-over-year.

A key development is that the company's core AI Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) business has successfully reached an inflection point toward profitability.

Analysts at Huatai Securities believe Lenovo's operations are a core component of the AI ecosystem. As one of the few tech companies with significant business operations in both China and the United States, Lenovo is well-positioned to benefit from the synergistic development of hybrid artificial intelligence in both nations, potentially representing the greatest common ground for Sino-US collaboration in the AI tech sector.

Guotai Haitong Securities added that, judging by Dell's stock price reaction, original design manufacturers (ODMs) with capabilities in AI server delivery, supply chain organization, and securing large customer orders are being revalued. This trend suggests Lenovo could experience a fundamental upward re-rating in its valuation.
