North American convenience store and fuel retail giant Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. (ANCTF) reported first-quarter revenue of $17.35 billion, falling $600 million short of market expectations. Despite a 4.5% increase in merchandise and service revenue, same-store fuel sales volumes declined in both the United States and Europe.
The company continues to focus on core business operations while navigating ongoing macroeconomic challenges.
