Southern 2x Long Samsung ETF (07747) surged more than 5% in early trading, with shares up 4.73% at HK$72.20 at the time of writing, on a turnover of HK$166 million.
The rally comes after Dutch AI chipmaker Euclyd announced on its website that it has completed a Series A funding round of over 200 million euros, co-led by Samsung, Somerset Capital Partners, EQT's Scaleup Europe Fund, and Innovation Industries.
Euclyd is currently developing an AI chip system that departs from the conventional GPU architecture, encompassing both processor and memory designs, with a primary focus on AI inference applications. However, it should be noted that Euclyd's system has yet to undergo validation through large-scale commercial deployment.
