Passenger Claims Clothing Caught in RoboTaxi Door, Nearly Dragged; Insider Suggests Possible Intentional Act

Deep News03-11

A passenger using RoboTaxi's service in Wuhan reported that their clothing became trapped in the vehicle's door, leading to them being dragged for approximately one city block.

According to the user's social media post, the RoboTaxi door closed on their clothing before the vehicle began moving, pulling them along for nearly a full intersection. The individual stated they narrowly avoided more serious injury by quickly removing their backpack and trapped garment. They further noted the absence of any external emergency stop mechanism and an inability to unlock the doors from inside. Attempts to contact customer service reportedly involved a three-minute automated message before any human assistance was available, with no immediate help offered for the emergency.

An informed source suggested the possibility that the user may have intentionally placed clothing in the door path. As of the latest update, RoboTaxi has not issued an official response regarding the incident.
