(600196.SH) announced that its subsidiary, Fosun Wanbang (Jiangsu) Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd., has received regulatory approval from the National Medical Products Administration for its Empagliflozin and Metformin Hydrochloride Extended-Release Tablets (III).

The approved indication is for use alongside diet and exercise to improve blood glucose control in adult patients with type 2 diabetes who are already receiving treatment with empagliflozin and metformin hydrochloride.
