CITIC BANK Announces Appointments: Lv Tiangui as President and Chief Compliance Officer, Shen Qiang as Vice President

On May 20, CITIC BANK announced that its board of directors has reviewed and passed several proposals. The board agreed to appoint Lv Tiangui as President and Chief Compliance Officer and nominated him as a candidate for executive director of the seventh board of directors. It also agreed to appoint Shen Qiang as Vice President. Lv Tiangui and Shen Qiang will assume their respective roles upon approval of their qualifications by the regulatory authorities, with their terms and compensation to be implemented in accordance with regulations. Lv Tiangui holds 900,000 shares of the bank's stock (00998.HK), while Shen Qiang holds 216,000 shares.

According to their resumes, Lv Tiangui, male, born in October 1972, holds a Master of Business Administration from Sichuan University and is a senior accountant. He currently serves as Deputy Party Secretary of CITIC BANK. Mr. Lv previously held positions including Party Committee Member, Assistant President, Vice President, Party Secretary, and President of the CITIC BANK Credit Card Center; General Manager of the Retail Banking Department and Private Banking Department at the Head Office; Business Director, Party Committee Member, and Vice President at the Head Office; and Party Secretary and Chairman of CITIC Trust Co., Ltd. He has also served concurrently as Director and Chairman of CITIC Baixin Bank Co., Ltd., Director of Altyn Bank, and Director of China UnionPay Co., Ltd.

Shen Qiang, male, born in March 1974, holds a Doctor of Management from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He currently serves as Party Committee Member of CITIC BANK and holds concurrent positions as Director and Chief Executive Officer of CITIC Bank (International) Limited, Director of the 19th Board of the Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association, and Vice President of the Hong Kong Institute of Bankers. Mr. Shen previously held roles including Senior Manager Assistant level at the Board and Supervisory Board Office of the Head Office; Party Committee Member and Deputy General Manager of the Head Office Business Department; Deputy General Manager (in charge) and General Manager of the Investment Banking Department at the Head Office; Director of the Party Committee Office and General Office at the Head Office; Party Secretary and President of the Chengdu Branch; and General Manager of the Credit Execution Department at the Head Office. He has also served concurrently as Director of CITIC (Hong Kong) Investment Limited.
