New Digital License Verification Targets Fake Online Food Delivery Stores

Deep News07-31

Officials revealed at a press conference held by the State Administration for Market Regulation on the 31st that, to fundamentally eliminate the breeding ground for "ghost takeaway" shops and prevent food delivery vendors from operating illegally online, the regulator is promoting the use of electronic licenses for verification within the online food delivery sector.

Electronic licenses feature characteristics such as being tamper-proof and highly resistant to forgery. By integrating data with food delivery platforms, regulators can push these digital licenses to the platforms for public display. This effectively issues a "digital ID card" to each delivery vendor, enabling automated and intelligent identity authentication.
