UNITED LAB secures second US$9.00 million milestone from Novo Nordisk for UBT251 Phase II trial

The United Laboratories International Holdings Limited (UNITED LAB) announced that its subsidiary, United Biotechnology, received a US$9.00 million milestone payment (net of Danish withholding tax) from Novo Nordisk on 23 September 2026. The payment was triggered by progress in a global Phase II clinical trial of UBT251 Injection targeting type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).

UBT251 is a triple agonist of the GLP-1, GIP and glucagon receptors under development for obesity, T2DM and other metabolic disorders. The payment represents the second milestone achieved under the Exclusive License Agreement signed with Novo Nordisk on 24 March 2025.

According to the agreement, United Biotechnology may receive cumulative development and commercial milestones of up to US$1.80 billion, in addition to tiered royalties linked to annual net sales within the licensed territory.
