Tsingtao Brewery Unveils Revamped Classic Series and New Light-Dry Line

On April 23, Tsingtao Brewery Company Limited launched its revitalized Classic series and a new Light-Dry product line under the theme of inheriting a century-old legacy while driving continuous innovation.

The upgraded Tsingtao Classic 1903 beer has undergone comprehensive enhancements in ingredients, brewing techniques, and packaging while preserving the core characteristics of the original product. In terms of quality, Tsingtao Classic 1903 selects high-quality barley, utilizing a golden ratio of multiple specialty barley varieties. Combined with the unique malting process from Tsingtao Brewery's own malt plant, the beer is 100% malt-brewed, delivering a rich barley aroma, a balanced low-bitterness profile, and a smooth, mellow taste with complex, harmonious layers.

The new packaging, led by a renowned designer, integrates the brand's founding year "1903" as a historical emblem with international expression and Eastern aesthetics, reflecting contemporary style. Additionally, the packaging features a convenient pull-tab design for easy opening.

Simultaneously released is Tsingtao's new "Light-Dry" beer. According to national standards, beverages containing no more than 0.5 grams of sugar per 100 milliliters can be labeled "sugar-free." Tsingtao Light-Dry significantly undercuts this standard and contains only 29 kilocalories per 100 milliliters, approximately 56% of the calories in an equivalent weight of apples, achieving a balance of reduced sugar without compromising flavor.

The Light-Dry variant features a Denim blue primary color on its packaging, with a bottle design characterized by smooth curves. The label highlights the English word "light" alongside a Chinese calligraphic character for "light," creating a visual harmony.

Also introduced is Tsingtao Ultra-Dry beer, which offers a higher degree of fermentation and is characterized as zero-sugar and zero-fat, providing a crisp and clean taste.

Public information indicates that Tsingtao Brewery has now established a product matrix focused on low-calorie and low-sugar options: the Light-Dry and Ultra-Dry beers form a zero-sugar dry beer series, while products such as Tsingtao Wheat 0.0% and Tsingtao Pilsner 0.0% comprise an alcohol-free combination.
