The banks involved are Xuzhou Rural Commercial Bank, Xinyi Rural Commercial Bank, Fengxian Rural Commercial Bank, Suining Rural Commercial Bank, Pizhou Rural Commercial Bank, and Peixian Rural Commercial Bank.

The extraordinary shareholders' meetings were held on the afternoon of February 28. The meeting agendas included reviewing several proposals, including the "Proposal on the New Establishment and Merger to Form Jiangsu Xuzhou Rural Commercial Bank Co., Ltd. and the Cancellation of Original Legal Person Status." This indicates that the six banks will form a new Xuzhou Rural Commercial Bank through a new establishment merger process, with their original legal person statuses being terminated.

Public information shows that the current Xuzhou Rural Commercial Bank was established on September 16, 2020, via the merger of three former rural commercial banks: Xuzhou Huaihai, Tongshan, and Pengcheng. Its registered capital is approximately 3.732 billion yuan. As of the end of August 2025, the bank operated 139 physical service outlets and 166 financial convenience service points, with total assets exceeding 108.088 billion yuan.

According to the bank's semi-annual information disclosure for 2025, as of the end of June 2025, it achieved operating revenue of 1.383 billion yuan, net interest income of 532 million yuan, and a net profit of 193 million yuan.

At a provincial rural commercial bank system work conference held in January 2026, the Jiangsu Rural Commercial United Bank identified "deepening reform and innovation, and focusing on building a new pattern of collaborative development" as a key annual task. It emphasized strengthening the positioning of the united bank, enhancing the sense of community, and reinforcing coordinated technological planning and a collaborative research and development ecosystem.
