A recent video posted by a consumer in Kunming has sparked heated online discussions, showing a Haidilao staff member repeatedly flinging noodles onto the floor during a performance. The footage captures an employee accidentally dropping the noodles on the ground while demonstrating noodle-pulling skills, which were subsequently served to customers.

According to media reports, the consumer returned to the restaurant the next day and informed the duty manager, who offered compensation of one complimentary noodle dish. After the video gained traction online, Haidilao's official account privately messaged the consumer, with the store manager later proposing compensation of two noodle dishes and an invitation to try new menu items. On the third day, a regional manager contacted the customer, initially promising a full meal waiver and unlimited noodle dishes for future visits, which was later revised to unlimited noodles for one month.

As of the time of writing, Haidilao has not issued an official response to the incident. The customer service department stated that if customers encounter similar situations, they can submit payment screenshots and relevant videos via the Haidilao WeChat mini-program, after which customer service will forward the case to the relevant manager for verification.
