Shanghai Electric Surges Over 13% in Early Trading, Stock Price Up More Than 40% in Nearly One Month

Shanghai Electric (02727) surged over 13% in early trading, with its stock price gaining more than 40% cumulatively over the past month. As of press time, the stock price rose 13.02% to HK$4.86, with a trading volume of HK$243 million.

According to Shanghai Electric's official account, a signing ceremony for the 342MW Palau Phase II solar photovoltaic EPC project in Romania was held on the morning of October 1st local time. This cooperation marks a new phase in the strategic collaboration between both parties in the clean energy sector, injecting strong momentum into regional energy transformation. To date, Shanghai Electric has undertaken four solar photovoltaic projects in Romania, with the 91.4MW Palau Phase I solar project and the 56MW Scultu solar project already completed, while the 60MW Ovidiu solar EPC project is currently under construction. The newly signed 342MW Palau Phase II solar EPC project represents Shanghai Electric's fourth solar photovoltaic project to be implemented in Romania.
