Alibaba Cloud has officially activated its new data center in Brazil, marking a significant milestone in its Latin American expansion strategy.

The newly launched node in Brazil features two availability zones, delivering a comprehensive suite of cloud services including computing, storage, and database solutions tailored for enterprise clients and developers. Additionally, enterprise-grade AI services are slated to roll out progressively on this platform.

This Brazilian facility represents the second regional node for Alibaba Cloud in Latin America, following the inauguration of its first regional presence in Mexico back in February 2025. With this latest addition, the company's global infrastructure now encompasses 31 regions and 106 availability zones, positioning it among the world's most extensive cloud computing networks.

The strategic move underscores Alibaba Cloud's commitment to broadening its footprint across emerging markets, particularly in regions with growing demand for scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure. The Brazil data center is expected to empower local businesses with enhanced digital capabilities, fostering innovation and operational efficiency in the region.
