Insights from Tomorrow Hydrogen's Wang Zhaoyun: Navigating the Hydrogen Energy Sector with Patience and Realism

Deep News05-15 17:50

From May 15th to 17th, the 18th Xuanyuan Automotive Bluebook Forum was held in Guangzhou, centered on the theme "Turning Point." Wang Zhaoyun, Chairman of Tomorrow Hydrogen, attended and delivered a speech.

He shared three key reflections on the development of the hydrogen energy industry:

First, avoid unnecessary hesitation. Wang Zhaoyun stated that the development trajectory for the hydrogen energy sector is being shaped as the 15th Five-Year Plan enters its drafting phase. This plan represents a systematic and comprehensive framework, consolidating extensive research and conclusions. "It is not something any single institution, school of thought, or viewpoint can contest," he remarked. Therefore, he believes the advancement of the hydrogen energy industry is an inevitable trend. "Entering this industry promptly means aligning with the prevailing momentum."

Second, exercise patience. He cautioned against the mindset of expecting immediate profits upon entering any industry, noting that this does not apply to hydrogen energy. The hydrogen sector is distinct, as it must adhere to the principles of innovation—being an innovative field itself—while also following the complex, interdisciplinary rules governing automotive, transportation, chemical, and energy industries. Wang Zhaoyun suggested that hydrogen energy development might forge a unique path different from other sectors. "This requires a process, and process means time. So, there's no need to rush; we are still in the midst of this journey."

Third, steer clear of misconceptions. Wang Zhaoyun was forthright, advising against the assumption that "spring has arrived" for the industry, allowing for aggressive entry and substantial profits. "Don't even entertain the thought," he emphasized. He stressed that "building an industry ultimately requires accumulated expertise and diligent effort. There are no shortcuts; don't even consider them. Stay focused and committed."
