National Day holiday toll-free policy for passenger cars continues

Vice Minister of Transport Li Yang said at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office on the 24th that during this year's National Day holiday, the policy of exempting tolls on toll roads for passenger vehicles with 7 seats or fewer during major holidays will continue to be implemented. The free passage period runs from 0:00 on October 1 to 24:00 on October 7.

Fuel prices to rise from the 25th

To cushion the impact of rising international oil prices on the domestic market, the state continues to adopt temporary adjustment measures for domestic refined oil prices. According to the current pricing mechanism, starting from 24:00 on September 24, the prices of domestic gasoline and diesel (standard products) should have been raised by 830 yuan and 800 yuan per ton respectively. After the adjustment, the actual increases are 395 yuan and 385 yuan.

Market regulator cracks down on short-weight practices

Since the beginning of this year, the State Administration for Market Regulation has carried out a "look back" on the comprehensive rectification of the electronic pricing scale market order. A total of 1.246 million electronic pricing scales were inspected, and 8,544 non-compliant scales and 6,096 cases of measurement violations were investigated and dealt with. Recently, several bulk snack brands were subjected to surprise inspections by market supervision departments in multiple locations due to "short-weight" issues. The State Administration for Market Regulation recently decided to launch pilot work on electronic pricing scale measurement supervision in Hebei, Zhejiang, and Fujian provinces.

Multiple regions roll out "Golden September and Silver October" car purchase subsidies

As the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day "double festival" approaches, the curtain has risen on the "Golden September and Silver October" sales push in the auto market. Gansu has coordinated 6 million yuan in provincial special funds, with a maximum direct subsidy of 3,000 yuan per vehicle; Qinghai offers a maximum provincial car purchase subsidy of 5,000 yuan; and Yangzhou, Lanzhou, Qingdao, Nanjing, and other places have simultaneously launched a new round of automobile consumption promotion. The automaker side is even busier: since September, more than 50 new models have been launched, and more than 30 brands including Tesla Motors (TSLA), Xiaomi, and XPeng have rolled out limited-time promotions, covering more than 100 models.

Guangxi adds 15 days of marriage leave

On the 24th, the 27th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 14th Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region People's Congress voted to pass the "Decision of the Standing Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region People's Congress on Amending the Regulations of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on Population and Family Planning." This amendment to the regulations mainly adds one provision: "Couples who legally register their marriage shall, in addition to enjoying the marriage leave stipulated by the state, be granted an additional 15 days of marriage leave."

Yu Chengdong says Seres voluntarily proposed to lead AITO

On the afternoon of the 24th, Yu Chengdong, Huawei's Executive Director and Chairman of the Terminal BG, responded on-site for the first time to AITO's independent operation during a store visit in Hefei: "Recently there have been many rumors about Seres Group Co.,Ltd. (601127) leading AITO. After cooperating with HarmonyOS Intelligent Mobility in recent years, Seres' capabilities have grown substantially. The Seres side proposed that they want to lead it themselves, and I think we still support them."

Handheld smart camera market produces "China's two giants"

The "Q2 2026 Global Handheld Smart Camera Market Tracker Report" shows that in the second quarter, global handheld smart camera shipments reached 5.89 million units, up 57% year-on-year, with sales approaching 15.7 billion yuan, up 50% year-on-year. DJI ranked first with a 73% shipment share, while Insta360 ranked second with a 20% share. DJI dominates gimbal cameras, while Insta360 has held its core position in panoramic cameras. IDC expects that by 2030, global handheld smart camera market shipments will approach 41 million units, with a compound growth rate of nearly 20% over the next five years.

Tencent's QClaw to cease operations

The TENCENT (00700) QClaw team announced on the 24th that due to business development adjustments, QClaw will officially cease operations at 00:00 on December 24, 2026. From the date of the announcement, new user registration and the purchase and renewal of subscription services will be stopped. From the date of the announcement, if a user's account has valid subscription services that have been purchased but not yet fully used, and the user wishes to terminate use early, the user may independently apply for a refund.

US Treasury yields hit a new high since 2007

The preliminary reading of the US S&P Global Composite PMI for September rose to 58.4, a new high since July 2021, with both manufacturing and services PMIs also exceeding expectations. Strong data drove a selloff in US Treasuries, with the 10-year Treasury yield once rising to 5.133%, the highest level since 2007; both 2-year and 5-year yields rose by about 15 basis points.
