Shanghai Airport Group has announced that as the National Day holiday draws to a close, Shanghai's airports are welcoming a peak in returning passengers.
The two major airports, Pudong and Hongqiao, are continuing to strengthen coordination with the metro, city rail lines, public buses, shuttle buses, and taxi companies, deploying additional staff to enhance on-site service management at taxi and ride-hailing pickup points.
During peak passenger periods, both airports will increase airport late-night shuttle routes and emergency buses as needed, providing direct service to transportation hubs such as People's Square, making late-night returns more convenient and effortless.
The following is a summary of return travel tips for Shanghai's airports.
Pudong Airport
Airport Buses
Pudong Airport operates a total of 5 airport bus routes: Airport Line 4, Airport Line 7, Airport Line 8, Airport Circular Line 1, and the Guardian Late-Night Line.
The T1 bus stop is located near Gate 7 of the T1 arrivals area, while the T2 bus stop is located beside the down escalator on Wuzhou North Road, Wuzhou Middle Road, and Wuzhou South Road (near Africa Street).

City Airport Link Line (Pudong Terminal 1 & 2 Station)
The first train from Pudong Terminal 1 & 2 Station departs at 06:00, and the last train departs at 22:15, with intervals of approximately 15 minutes.
Parking Facilities
Pudong Airport has P1 and P2 parking lots as well as the P4 long-term parking garage for passengers traveling with their own vehicles.
A 24-hour free shuttle bus service is available on-site to transport passengers between the P4 long-term parking garage and the terminals, with departures every 10 minutes during peak periods.
Pricing Standards
· P1 and P2 parking lots: 10 yuan/hour for the first 2 hours, 5 yuan/hour after 2 hours, with a maximum daily charge of 130 yuan per 24-hour parking day. P1 and P2 parking lots offer free parking within the first 20 minutes on the day of entry.
· P4 long-term parking garage: 5 yuan/hour, with a maximum charge of 60 yuan per 12-hour parking day. The P4 long-term parking garage offers free parking within the first 20 minutes on the day of entry.
Taxis
T1 stop: Near Gate 11 on the arrivals level
T2 stop: Near Gate 26 on the arrivals level
Ride-Hailing Services
Pudong Airport has designated ride-hailing pickup points at the bus level of P1 parking lot and B2 level of P2 parking lot. After booking a ride-hailing vehicle, passengers can proceed directly to the designated area to wait.
According to the DiDi ride-hailing platform, parking fees are borne by the driver, and passengers do not need to pay parking fees. If any issues arise, passengers can provide feedback through the DiDi app's online customer service or by calling the customer service hotline at 400-000-0999.
Hongqiao Airport
Airport Buses
Airport Line 1 (Hongqiao Hub East Transportation Center — Pudong Airport) boarding point is located on the 1st floor of the Hongqiao Hub East Transportation Center.

Hongqiao Airport has 5 parking garages/lots: P1, P5, P6, P7, and P8.
Pricing Standards
· 10 yuan/hour for the first 2 hours, 5 yuan/hour after 2 hours, with a maximum charge of 60 yuan per 24-hour period capped at 10 hours.
· For each 24—48 hour period, the maximum charge is 80 yuan capped at 14 hours.
· For periods exceeding 48 hours, the maximum charge is 110 yuan per 24-hour period capped at 20 hours.
· Each vehicle may enjoy free parking for 20 minutes only once per day (0:00—24:00).
Taxis

Ride-Hailing Pickup Points
