Prada (01913) shares rose more than 5%, reaching HK$39.92 as of press time, up 5.05%, with a turnover of HK$54.4515 million.
On the news front, Prada recently released its unaudited revenue for the nine months ended September 30, 2026. During the nine months ended September 30, 2026, the Prada Group generated net revenue of 4.541 billion euros, representing a 14.5% increase compared to the same period in 2025 (organic growth of +3.5%). Fluctuations in foreign exchange rates had a negative impact of approximately 2.9%, resulting in reported growth of 11.6%. Despite the challenging comparative base resulting from the Group's strong growth of +9.3% in the first nine months of 2025, net retail sales still grew 11.0% year-on-year (organic growth of +2.0%).
Citi released a research report stating that Prada's third-quarter group sales reached 1.49 billion euros, in line with market expectations; excluding Versace, organic growth at constant exchange rates was 1%, compared to 7% growth in the previous quarter, while market expectations were for flat performance. Among these, Prada retail rose 1%, in line with market expectations, with same-store sales roughly flat.
The bank noted that the growth slowdown was affected by weaker customer traffic in China and Japan, as well as higher comparative bases in the United States and South Korea. However, management revealed on the conference call that performance in September and October had slightly improved compared to July and August, market reaction to the Miu Miu Spring/Summer 2027 collection was strong after its release, and Versace plans to increase investment in 2027, which may limit the room for narrowing losses.
