Jeff Bezos Sells $1.2 Billion in Amazon Stock, Bringing November Sales to Nearly $3 Billion

Dow Jones11-13

Jeff Bezos continues to sell Amazon stock. The Amazon founder sold $1.2 billion worth of stock on Friday and Monday, bringing his November sales to $2.7 billion. Since July, he’s sold $4.4 billion.

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos had filed a plan to sell up to 25 million Amazon shares by the end of 2025.

All of the sales are part of pre-announced trading plans. Like many company founders and other large shareholders, Bezos regularly files plans for his intention to sell shares of company stock through so-called 10b5-1 plans.

In Amazon’s May 1 first-quarter filing, Bezos announced a new March 2024 plan to replace a November 2023 plan that had been exhausted. The March plan was for Bezos to sell 25 million Amazon shares before the end of 2025. Since the first trade under that plan on July 2, Bezos has sold 22 million shares. He’s also donated 555,385 shares to charity in recent months.

Amazon declined to comment on the stock sales.

Bezos still owns over a billion shares of Amazon stock with a value of $220 billion.
