Zhejiang Narada Power Source Co.,Ltd. has achieved another milestone in the overseas AIDC market by winning a $67.8 million (478 million RMB) lithium battery equipment procurement contract for a hyperscale AIDC campus project in the United States. Located in Texas, this project represents one of America's most high-profile computing infrastructure developments, with a total planned investment exceeding $25 billion. Upon completion, the facility will house 10 data centers with a combined power capacity of 1.4GW.
The surging demand for AI infrastructure has fueled a construction boom for hyperscale AIDC projects across the U.S., prompting leading software companies to continually increase their computing infrastructure investments. Such projects require not only cutting-edge chips and servers but also exceptionally stable power supply solutions.
The contract involves Narada's proprietary high-voltage, high-power lithium battery backup power system. Leveraging mature LFP (lithium iron phosphate) technology, the system demonstrates superior performance in safety, cycle life, energy density, and intelligent management - providing "zero-interruption" power protection for compute-intensive AIDC operations.
Unlike conventional AIDC backup power solutions, this project adopts a prefabricated containerized deployment approach. The container itself forms an independent, robust physical security boundary, significantly enhancing proactive isolation and risk prevention capabilities against thermal runaway incidents. The modular design within containers supports flexible capacity expansion and rapid deployment.
Furthermore, the project utilizes ultra-high-rate battery cells to substantially improve power density and discharge capacity per rack, while progressively evolving toward future HVDC (high-voltage direct current) power supply architectures.
With three decades of industry expertise, Narada has established itself as a global leader in AIDC backup battery technology. Its high-voltage LFP products now compete directly with international premium brands in the North American market, making Narada a key backup power supplier for major U.S. internet companies' data centers.
This landmark project creates a foundation for sustainable expansion of Narada's AIDC backup power business in North America. Moving forward, the company's differentiated capabilities in high-voltage lithium battery technology, global localized service networks, and strategic partnerships with North American tech leaders position it to drive further breakthroughs in this high-growth sector, contributing Chinese innovation to global energy transition and computing infrastructure development.
