Optowide Technologies Co.,Ltd. (SHSE: 688195) has announced plans to establish a wholly-owned subsidiary in Kunshan with a registered capital contribution of RMB 35 million from its own or self-raised funds. The new entity, to be named Optowide Visual Technology (Kunshan) Co., Ltd., will set up a branch in Nanjing. This branch will legally and compliantly take over all assets, liabilities, rights, obligations, business operations, technologies, and personnel from the company's existing Nanjing branch. Additionally, the Kunshan subsidiary will establish a branch in Fuzhou to assume certain assets, business operations, and personnel related to AR consumer optics, creating a coordinated operational model described as "Kunshan manufacturing + Nanjing R&D + Fuzhou support."
The company maintains its primary focus on the optical communications sector. It leverages its strategic positioning across key segments of the industry chain, from upstream crystal materials to midstream optical components/modules and downstream instrument equipment. This strategy aims to capitalize on the sustained global growth in AI computing power demand, driving the continued expansion of its core optical communications business and further enhancing overall operational quality.
Building upon this core focus, the investment to establish the Kunshan subsidiary is intended to consolidate the R&D, production, and sales resources of its AR consumer optics business. This move seeks to achieve centralized and specialized operations. By leveraging Kunshan's industrial ecosystem, geographical advantages, and supportive policies, the company aims to accelerate the industrialization of AR near-eye display optical modules. This initiative is expected to further refine the company's business portfolio and strengthen its capacity for sustainable development.
