Agricultural Product Wholesale Price Index Declines Slightly on May 12

According to monitoring data, the "Agricultural Product Wholesale Price 200 Index" stood at 115.44 on May 12, representing a decrease of 0.04 points from the previous day. The "Vegetable Basket" Product Wholesale Price Index was 115.91, down 0.05 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the national average wholesale price for pork in agricultural product markets was 14.88 yuan per kilogram, down 0.7% from yesterday. Beef was priced at 66.37 yuan per kilogram, a decrease of 0.2%. Mutton was 64.09 yuan per kilogram, down 0.4%. Egg prices rose to 9.08 yuan per kilogram, up 1.5%. The price for dressed chicken increased to 17.09 yuan per kilogram, up 0.8%.

The average price for 28 key monitored vegetables was 4.20 yuan per kilogram, a decline of 0.9%. The average price for 6 key monitored fruits was 7.79 yuan per kilogram, showing an increase of 2.1%.

For aquatic products, crucian carp was priced at 20.24 yuan per kilogram, up 1.0%. Carp was 14.86 yuan per kilogram, down 0.3%. Silver carp rose to 10.53 yuan per kilogram, up 1.9%. Large hairtail was 41.47 yuan per kilogram, up 0.4%.

Among the 46 key monitored varieties in domestic fresh agricultural product wholesale markets today, the top five commodities with the largest price increases compared to yesterday were pineapple, Kyoho grapes, silver carp, bighead carp, and eggs, with increases of 5.3%, 4.4%, 1.9%, 1.6%, and 1.5%, respectively. The top five commodities with the largest price decreases were cabbage, cucumber, leek, green pepper, and tomato, with decreases of 4.4%, 3.7%, 2.7%, 1.9%, and 1.6%, respectively.
