Hong Kong-listed gold stocks rallied on November 4 as spot gold prices recovered, lifting sentiment across the sector.
CHIFENG GOLD (HKEX: 06693) climbed more than 6%, while Lingbao Gold, Zijin Gold International, and Tongguan Gold all gained over 5%. Shandong Gold advanced more than 4%, and Everest Gold and China Gold International Resources rose over 3%.
The rebound came as spot gold touched $3,950 per ounce in early trading, bouncing from recent lows and driving a recovery in gold-related equities.
On the corporate front, CHIFENG GOLD (HKEX: 06693) recently reported its results for the first three quarters of 2026. The group posted revenue of RMB 10.087 billion, up 16.69% year-on-year, while net profit attributable to shareholders reached RMB 2.285 billion, up 11.05% year-on-year.
Huatai Securities noted that Chifeng Gold's revenue growth in the first three quarters was mainly driven by a 33.56% year-on-year increase in the average gold selling price to RMB 974.44 per gram. The slower profit growth relative to revenue was primarily attributed to a 38.71% year-on-year rise in the all-in sustaining cost per unit of self-produced gold, as well as a 4.32 percentage point increase in the income tax rate to 34.16%.
