Baiyin City Federation of Trade Unions in Gansu Province has focused on key safety production tasks in recent years, developing an integrated governance model of "industrial workers + collective safety and prevention." This approach, reported by local media, utilizes a four-pronged strategy involving skilled worker lectures, incentive mechanisms, hands-on training drills, and rights protection to build a comprehensive, union-led safety governance framework covering all personnel and areas.
Skilled workers lead efforts both online and offline to strengthen workers' safety awareness. A total of 32 lecture teams, composed of model workers and safety champions, have conducted over 100 targeted presentations at production sites, reaching 12,600 workers. The initiative also promotes full participation in hazard identification and risk management, leveraging the union's supervisory role. It establishes open reporting channels online and offline, along with a workflow system that includes self-inspection, collective reporting, closed-loop issue resolution, and reward-based incentives.
