Barclays Increases Stake in Nanjing Panda Electronics by 5.67 Million Shares

Barclays PLC purchased an additional 5.672 million shares of Nanjing Panda Electronics (00553) on March 11, according to the latest data from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The transaction was executed at a price of HK$5.5312 per share, amounting to a total consideration of approximately HK$31.373 million. Following this acquisition, Barclays' total shareholding in the company has increased to 14.578 million shares, representing a 6.02% stake. Additional notes indicate that the notifiable interest arose from an increase in equity shares. Interests disclosed by BBPLC and BCSL in 1,534,000 shares each, both long and short positions, relate to an intra-group hedging arrangement between the two entities. Hedging-related interests are not double-counted at the Barclays PLC level.
