CONANT OPTICAL (02276) rose more than 5% in afternoon trading. At the time of writing, the stock was up 5.39%, trading at HK$47.3 with a turnover of HK$81.6239 million. The increase follows an announcement that Huawei's Terminal BG CEO, He Gang, posted a first-person perspective image on Weibo bearing a "HUAWEI AI Glasses" watermark, indicating the imminent official launch of Huawei's new AI-powered smart glasses. Reports indicate that the new Huawei AI glasses are being manufactured by Goertek. According to an analysis by Oriental Securities, CONANT OPTICAL has established business collaborations with approximately 20 leading smart glasses developers globally, with key projects from certain domestic clients already entering mass production. Significant revenue and net profit contributions from these projects are anticipated by 2026. Furthermore, the company has set up a joint venture with Goertek Optical through a controlling subsidiary and plans to participate in the financing of Lingban Technology, aiming to deepen its strategic positioning within the XR lens industry chain.
