On April 2, at the No. 15 Gas Gathering Station of the Sebei Gas Field in Qinghai Oilfield, high-efficiency heat exchangers were converting waste heat from operating compressors into a valuable resource, providing a clean and stable heat source for staff production and daily life. The Sebei Gas Field addressed energy waste in production processes by establishing a compressor waste heat recovery project at the station. This initiative captures approximately 70% of waste heat generated during compressor operation, converting it into heating energy equivalent to 250 kWh, which supplies heating and domestic hot water to the Tainan shift point while ensuring stable heating for the station's instrument control room. Since the beginning of 2025, the project has saved 1.98 million cubic meters of natural gas. Additionally, the gas field has advanced low-pressure gas sealed recovery and triethylene glycol dehydration unit electrification upgrades, achieving near-zero emissions in production and reducing reliance on natural gas. Since 2025, these measures have saved 800,000 cubic meters of natural gas, significantly improving energy utilization efficiency. Through a multi-energy complementary system integrating solar power, electrification, and waste heat recovery, the clean energy substitution project has generated over 27 million kWh of electricity, saved more than 2.7 million cubic meters of natural gas, and reduced annual carbon dioxide emissions by over 18,000 tons.
