UBTECH ROBOTICS (09880) surged more than 5% in early trading, with gains narrowing to 3.75% by press time, reaching HK$113.4 and recording a turnover of HK$710 million. The uptick follows the company's announcement on December 2 of a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Zhuoshi Tech. The partnership will focus on integrating "industry-specific AI models with embodied intelligence," targeting the deployment of 10,000 robots over the next five years and jointly pursuing billions in commercial orders. The collaboration aims to advance applications of large-scale AI models combined with humanoid robots across multiple sectors.
Notably, UBTECH ROBOTICS secured a RMB143 million contract on November 28 for a humanoid robot data collection and training center project in Jiujiang, Jiangxi Province. The project will utilize the company’s latest industrial humanoid robot, WalkerS2, which features autonomous battery-swapping capabilities. To date, UBTECH’s Walker series humanoid robots have accumulated orders totaling RMB1.3 billion for 2025.
