On April 15, the launch ceremony for the National Security Education Day and National Defense Security themed event, along with the 2026 National Defense Education in Schools initiative, was held at Beijing's Shijingshan District Apple Garden Second Primary School. During the event, an appointment ceremony was conducted for national security vice principals. Currently, 16 schools in Shijingshan District have been equipped with national security vice principals, who are concurrently held by cadres from relevant industry departments in the district. Through a school pairing mechanism, these officials will regularly carry out campus lectures and other activities focused on national security themes. It is reported that Shijingshan District has continuously emphasized national defense education in recent years, striving to build a distinctive brand known as "Strong National Defense, Solid Civil Defense, Shijingshan in Action." Efforts include establishing defense-themed classrooms and offering defense technology courses to promote defense education in schools. Additionally, the district organizes community defense knowledge lectures and resident experience activities to advance defense education in neighborhoods. By forming national defense volunteer service teams and civilian patriotic lecture groups, the district conducts volunteer activities and public speeches across the area to promote patriotic spirit. Currently, the atmosphere for national defense education in Shijingshan is increasingly vibrant, with caring for, loving, building, and safeguarding national defense becoming a shared consensus and conscious action throughout the district.
