Apple's Cook Reports Strong iPhone Demand Straining Supply

Deep News08:12

Apple CEO Tim Cook stated that due to astonishing demand for its latest iPhone series, the company ended its most recent fiscal quarter with extremely tight inventory. "We are tremendously excited about the customer response to our newest iPhone lineup. It's fair to say it has surpassed our expectations," Cook said during a call with analysts. He mentioned the company is now racing to increase supply to meet this demand, but it is difficult to predict when it will catch up, given constraints on the supply of advanced nodes used for its System-on-a-Chip (SoC) production. "Currently, we are observing that the supply chain lacks its usual flexibility, partly because our own demand has increased so significantly," he said.
