A symposium on the Ten-Gigabit AI Campus Network was recently held in Xiongan. The event was jointly organized by three specialized committees of the China Institute of Communications and hosted by the Hebei Provincial Institute of Communications, bringing together over 160 industry experts to focus on campus network technology innovation and industrial implementation.
During the conference, the Ten-Gigabit AI Campus Network Ethernet Technology Research Report was released. Compiled by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, the report outlines four key characteristics: ten-gigabit access, wireless convergence, full-domain security, and network intelligence. It also provides application guidance for multiple industries, including education, healthcare, and manufacturing.
Ouyang Wu, Executive Director of the China Institute of Communications, emphasized that the ten-gigabit AI campus network is a critical foundation for digital transformation. Wen Ku, Chairman of the China Communications Standards Association, pointed out that a unified standard system is a key link. Song Mao'en, Deputy Director of the Hebei Communications Administration, stated that Hebei has already completed ten-gigabit upgrades in some campus areas.
In keynote speeches, Professor Zhang Ping from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications explored semantic communication technology. Ao Li, Vice President of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, analyzed the restructuring of network architecture by AI. Zhou Yi, Director of the Development Research Center of the State Council, proposed policy suggestions for future industrial development.
Additionally, Professor Wu Bin from North China University of Technology introduced short-range wireless convergence technology. Zeng Dehua, Vice President of the China Education Technology Association, shared ideas on "AI + Education." Hu Jianping, Vice President of the China Health Information Association, elaborated on multi-agent collaborative applications in medical campuses. Wang Yu, an expert from JAC Motors, demonstrated the implementation results of a ten-gigabit factory in smart manufacturing.
This symposium bridged the gap from technological research to industry application. Moving forward, all parties will continue to promote the widespread adoption of ten-gigabit AI campus networks across various sectors, supporting the construction of a digital China.
