China Shenhua Energy Company Limited (ASX: 601088 / HKG: 01088) has released a forecast for its financial performance in the first half of 2026.
The company projects that its net profit attributable to owners for the period will range from 28.4 billion yuan to 31.9 billion yuan.
Compared to the officially disclosed data for the same period last year (first half of 2025: 26.706 billion yuan), this represents an estimated increase of 6.3% to 19.4%.
When measured against the restated comparative figures for the first half of 2025 (30.478 billion yuan), the projected result indicates a potential decrease of 6.8% or an increase of up to 4.7%.
The company identified several key factors influencing the expected profit for the period.
Positive contributors include increased business volumes in its coal chemical operations, as well as its owned railway, port, and shipping segments, leading to a year-on-year rise in profits from these areas.
Conversely, unfavorable factors impacting the projected profit include a year-on-year increase in taxes, surcharges, and other related expenses.
