GAC GROUP has officially unveiled its new professional management team after a rigorous market-oriented selection process. The appointments include He Xianqing as General Manager, Wang Dan as Chief Accountant, and Gao Rui, Jiang Xiuyun, Zheng Heng, Huang Yongqiang, and Chen Jiacai as Deputy General Managers.
This key leadership restructuring reflects GAC Group’s commitment to its talent strategy of "market-based recruitment, contract-based management, differentiated compensation, and market-driven exits." The company has also embraced an open approach by bringing in external innovative talent, injecting fresh momentum into its strategic vision of building a "new GAC" and revitalizing organizational dynamism.
As a pioneer in China’s automotive industry reform, GAC Group has consistently innovated its talent mechanisms. Since introducing its professional manager system in 2018, the company has now completed its "third leadership transition," maintaining its leading position in state-owned enterprise reforms. The previous implementations of the professional manager system have further marketized GAC’s corporate governance. Building on this foundation, the company has established a performance-driven compensation incentive system and a tiered exit mechanism based on assessment results.
The announcement of the new professional manager recruitment attracted significant industry attention, drawing numerous high-caliber candidates from both within and outside GAC. The newly appointed team will oversee core business areas including product management, R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, brand marketing, international expansion, strategic development, and human resources.
This versatile leadership team—equipped with strategic vision, operational expertise, and innovative capabilities—will spearhead GAC’s critical initiatives in new energy transformation, smart connectivity upgrades, premium brand breakthroughs, and overseas market expansion, providing robust organizational support for high-quality growth.
Notably, the latest leadership team includes external talent. Chen Jiacai, who brings extensive experience in global automotive expansion, has joined GAC to oversee international operations. The infusion of external expertise is expected to bring fresh strategic perspectives, advanced management concepts, and enhanced innovation potential to GAC’s globalization and localization efforts.
Amid unprecedented transformation in the global automotive industry—driven by electrification, intelligence, and connectivity—GAC Group launched its three-year "Panyu Initiative" in November 2024. This strategy shifts its self-owned brands from a strategic control model to a more operationally effective management model.
During this transition, GAC has restructured processes and organizations by adopting management systems such as DSTE and IPD, while also refining talent development programs and incentive mechanisms to energize its workforce. The latest leadership reshuffle marks a significant milestone in the talent mechanism reforms under the "Panyu Initiative."
