At the 2026 Beijing Auto Show opening on April 24, NIO Inc. President and Co-Founder Qin Lihong spoke with media following the company's product launch.
Regarding the milestone of delivering 100,000 units of the new ES8 model, Qin described it as an outstanding market achievement. He acknowledged that some long-term users may feel a sense of loss as technology and products evolve, noting that such feelings are difficult to avoid. Qin emphasized that NIO cannot halt innovation simply to make existing customers feel their vehicles remain the most advanced, as doing so would ultimately result in the company's failure.
