China Nonferrous Mining (01258) has announced that the main and auxiliary shafts of the Chambishi Southeast Orebody at its Chambishi Metals mine completed restoration work in December 2025, with the results meeting expectations. The mine officially resumed production on January 1, 2026.
For the year 2026, China Nonferrous Mining Limited (the Company) anticipates its total comprehensive copper production will be approximately 484,000 tonnes. This includes around 134,000 tonnes of cathode copper and roughly 350,000 tonnes of blister copper/anode copper, which includes tolling services for copper products. The production of blister/anode copper is expected to decline due to planned maintenance shutdowns at the Chambishi Copper Smelter and the Lualaba Copper Smelter.
The company forecasts its own mine-produced copper output to be about 155,000 tonnes for the full year. Additionally, it plans to produce approximately 900,000 tonnes of sulfuric acid, around 100,000 tonnes of liquid sulfur dioxide, and cobalt-containing cobalt hydroxide equivalent to roughly 600 tonnes of cobalt.
