CPIC Discusses Dividend Value Strategy: Seeking a Sound Balance Between Dividend Returns and Long-Term Risk Returns

On October 28, a financial frontline report stated that China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd. held its 2026 third-quarter results briefing.

Management stated that the dividend value strategy that CPIC has consistently adhered to is intended to achieve a sound balance between dividend returns and long-term risk returns, so that it can both better provide new sources of income for stable net investment yield and avoid excessively sacrificing the risk returns that can be obtained from corporate growth over the long term.

Management acknowledged that this strategy is relatively difficult. Therefore, CPIC is now also considering further optimizing and refining the dividend value strategy.

If the goal is to stabilize net investment income, then on the dividend side it hopes to find better instruments with current dividend returns. If such instruments are to avoid excessive and unnecessary shocks to profit, then the proportion allocated to OCI will inevitably increase.

If the aim is to benefit through reasonable trading spreads and including the sustained growth of stable recognized value, and to bring better enhancement to current-period profit, then it is also possible that the corresponding assets will be placed in the TPL classification.

Management stated that specific analysis and specific management should be carried out according to the choice of specific strategies and the corresponding performance of fluctuations in the equity asset market.
