On Thursday, November 5, stock index futures extended their rebound, with CSI 1000 and CSI 500 futures rising more than 1% during intraday trading.
After yesterday鈥檚 high-volume surge, the market continued to push higher today. This round of rebound is the result of three overlapping drivers: the implementation of domestic market-stabilization policies, the clearing of overseas macroeconomic uncertainty, and a recovery in risk sentiment.
The current move is an valuation repair rally following an oversold condition, and the short-term rebound may continue. Going forward, the actual improvement in domestic liquidity should be closely tracked, with key focus on the real funding effects after policy tools are implemented, whether turnover in the two markets can continue to expand, and the sustainability of incremental capital.
Recently, the People鈥檚 Bank of China and multiple government departments have intensively introduced capital market support policies, reinforcing bottom-level expectations. The central bank has rolled out the securities, fund, and insurance swap facility tool, optimized the stock buyback and increase-holding relending program, and introduced supporting financial stabilization mechanisms, broadening institutional funding sources, easing market selling pressure, and sending the market a clear signal of stabilizing growth and stabilizing the capital market.
A-share third-quarter reports have basically been fully disclosed, showing the characteristics of 鈥渕odest overall growth, sharp sector divergence, and index performance below expectations.鈥?At the aggregate level, after excluding financials, all A-shares posted revenue growth of 6.57% year on year in the first three quarters of 2026, net profit growth of 18.95%, and ROE of 6.83%, all slightly higher than the first-half figures.
However, the source of growth may mainly come from price increases driven by imported inflation. Taking ROE as an example, the net operating margin rose slightly, the equity multiplier was flat, and asset turnover showed slight negative growth.
Overseas, the U.S. midterm elections have concluded, and the political uncertainty that previously weighed on the AI sector has receded, driving a recovery in global technology growth risk appetite. Recently, capital market expectation-stabilization measures have been introduced one after another. Considering the previous notable index decline and the clearing of bearish sentiment, short-term stock index repair is expected to dominate the market.
