On August 28, at the 2026 interim results conference, China Life Vice President Wu Jian stated that the new "bank-insurance integration" regulations further strengthen the refined and standardized management of bancassurance product fees. Since the new rules took effect in July, the industry as a whole is currently in a phase of adaptation and adjustment. In the long term, these regulations will further promote high-quality development in the sector, and the bancassurance channel still possesses very considerable growth potential.

Wu Jian noted that China Life will leverage its brand channel layout, team building, and comprehensive service advantages to maintain a sustained positive development trend in the bancassurance channel. In terms of positioning, the company regards the bancassurance channel as a strategic development channel, consistently steering toward a value-oriented, professionally guided, and symbiotic bancassurance direction, pursuing a high-quality development path that balances both scale and value.

Wu Jian outlined the company's bancassurance development strategies. First, the company continues to advance the "6+10+N" channel layout, deepening cooperation with key state-owned banks while actively expanding into joint-stock and local banks. Currently, China Life collaborates with more than 110 banks, with core channels contributing over 70% of periodic premium payments. In the first half of the year, new business policy issuance outlets at partner banks approached 70,000, a year-on-year increase of 10.4%, with star-rated outlets achieving significant growth, driving business expansion through enhanced outlet productivity.

Second, the company is consistently building a professional team. China Life boasts one of the industry's largest customer manager teams. By continuously enhancing the team's professionalism, specialization, and digital empowerment, the company improves operational performance. In the first half of the year, per-capita periodic premium productivity among customer managers increased by 37.1%, relying on professional talent growth to drive business gains.

Third, the company persists in advancing professional services. Adhering to a long-term value orientation, China Life relies on its brand, operational digital capabilities, and a comprehensive product system to serve partner banks and clients, using professional service to drive business growth.
