The Physical AI Innovation Consortium (PAii), a major initiative of the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC 2026), has officially been launched. The consortium brings together an initial group of 32 founding members, with GALAXIS TECH (02729) confirmed as a core founding entity. It aims to unite industry, academia, and research institutions to collaboratively drive the application of digital intelligence in the physical industrial sector.
As artificial intelligence rapidly integrates into real-world physical environments, physical AI technology holds significant potential to empower sectors like smart logistics, intelligent manufacturing, and robotics. The industry currently faces challenges such as difficulties in technology implementation and the fragmentation of various innovation resources. To address these issues, partners across the industrial ecosystem have jointly proposed establishing this innovation consortium.
The consortium will align with national strategic research directions, focusing closely on China's development plans for AI and advanced manufacturing. It has outlined six key areas for collaborative development, covering joint research on core technologies, open sharing of public R&D resources, commercialization of academic and research achievements, industry standard evaluation, cultivation of interdisciplinary talent, and incubation of industrial projects.
A practical implementation mechanism will be established, with the core evaluation metric being the delivery of actual projects. A contribution-based points system and a dynamic management model will be adopted to prevent superficial participation without tangible results, a common industry pitfall.
As a benchmark enterprise in full-stack smart intra-logistics, GALAXIS TECH has signed a letter of intent to participate in the consortium. Ms. Yang Yan, an Executive Director of the group, represented the company at the consortium's launch ceremony.
The company specializes in intelligent robotics products and solutions for warehousing and industrial logistics, possessing extensive global project implementation experience. Its continuously evolving portfolio of smart robots and holistic digital twin solutions, coupled with exposure to vast real-world industrial scenarios, provides a practical testing ground for physical AI technologies.
Leveraging strong in-house R&D capabilities across various business models, GALAXIS TECH has deployed over 1,600 projects to date, serving 884 clients across 29 sub-sectors including new energy, automotive, pharmaceuticals, and e-commerce. Its business spans 19 countries and regions globally.
Focusing on smart intra-logistics robotics, the company's main product lines include multi-directional shuttle robots, autonomous mobile robots, and conveyor sorting robots. Its solutions for intelligent warehousing and logistics upgrades in sectors like pharmaceuticals, new energy, and automotive will provide robust support for technology implementation.
In late May this year, the company officially launched two new pallet-based automated storage and retrieval system products, the VFR-CS3 and VFR-CL4, further strengthening its position in the high-density storage segment.
Moving forward, GALAXIS TECH will leverage its industrial scenario advantages to engage in deep collaboration with other consortium partners. The focus will be on advancing the application of physical AI technologies in industrial logistics settings, specifically addressing practical needs such as multi-equipment coordination in warehouses and on-site autonomous decision-making.
Through the industrial collaboration platform established by the consortium, GALAXIS TECH will participate in industry co-development, standard refinement, and the incubation of high-quality projects. By leveraging the combined strengths of industry, academia, research, and capital, the company aims to accelerate the widespread adoption of new smart logistics technologies.

Representatives from the 32 founding member units gathered at the event, aiming to use the consortium as a collaborative bridge to break down industrial innovation barriers and support the high-quality, independent development of China's smart logistics and intelligent manufacturing industries.
