The concrete pump truck swung its long boom, precisely injecting mortar into the foundation; technicians held instruments, repeatedly verifying the spacing and flatness of the brick columns... In the Shenyang Economic and Technological Development Zone, a high-end power equipment intelligent manufacturing base is rising from the ground.
On November 2, at the construction site of the new energy equipment high-end digital factory project of Shenyang Shenxi Transformer Manufacturing Co., Ltd., it was observed that nearly 10,000 square meters of underground foundation work had been completed.
"We are seizing the 'golden period' of construction to fully ensure progress," said Wei Xiangcai, deputy general manager of Shenyang Shenxi Transformer Manufacturing Co., Ltd. "From groundbreaking to foundation completion, it took only one month, much faster than expected."
As a veteran with over 30 years in the transformer industry, Shenxi Transformer's old plant suffers from insufficient digitalization, which has constrained the production of high-end power equipment.
Regarding this "renewal," Han Hongjun, general manager of the company, expressed great anticipation: "The new digital factory has a total investment of 100 million yuan, focusing on the research and production of new energy supporting power equipment. We will launch intelligent production lines, a digital management system, and precision testing equipment to create a full-process intelligent manufacturing base."
How smart is the digital factory? Han Hongjun painted a picture of future production: "The new plant's production management will achieve automation and intelligence, increasing production efficiency by 40%."
Raw materials are scanned in and out of the automated warehouse, inspection uses laser typesetting instead of traditional calipers, and material transfer is automatically completed by AGV driverless vehicles. Factory quality inspection is automated, with test data automatically generating certificates and reports sent synchronously to customers, who can also view production progress in real time via video.
During the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, Liaoning's new energy industry will "take big strides." By the end of 2030, the province's wind and solar new energy installed capacity is expected to reach 66 million kilowatts, with transmission demand continuing to rise and broad market space for new energy power equipment.
"The new plant is expected to be completed and put into operation in July 2028, greatly enhancing the research and large-scale production capacity of high-end products, with an estimated output value of 300 million to 500 million yuan," Han Hongjun said confidently. The new plant will not only fill the gap in supporting the regional new energy equipment industry chain but also expand orders in domestic and overseas markets such as Europe, America, and the Middle East, promoting the local power transmission and transformation industry to upgrade toward high-end, intelligent, and green development.
