The 300,000-ton crude oil tanker "Xin Jiyuan" successfully berthed at Berth 173 in the Xuwei Port Area of Lianyungang Port on the 27th, where it commenced crude oil unloading operations. This event marks the official commissioning of Jiangsu's second 300,000-ton crude oil terminal, which will provide efficient and stable crude oil import services for petrochemical enterprises in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River.
The 300,000-ton crude oil terminal in the Xuwei Port Area of Lianyungang Port is a significant port infrastructure project jointly funded by Sinopec Petroleum Sales Co., Ltd. and Lianyungang Port Co., Ltd. The terminal has a designed annual throughput capacity of 18.5 million tons, with a total berth length of 412 meters. It includes a working platform, mooring dolphins, a fire control building, as well as supporting facilities such as process pipelines and loading/unloading equipment. Currently, the terminal's conveying equipment, electrical systems, control systems, auxiliary equipment, fire protection systems, and environmental protection systems are operating stably, with smooth process coordination and effective safety management. All indicators meet the design standards.
The official operation of this 300,000-ton crude oil terminal, through efficient coordination with the Lianyungang Commercial Crude Oil Reserve Base and the National Pipeline Network's Lianyungang-Huai'an-Yizheng crude oil pipeline, will effectively reduce comprehensive logistics costs for enterprises. While improving the functional layout of Lianyungang Port, it also addresses the growing crude oil demand gap in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, further enhancing the security of the crude oil supply system in the region. The terminal also aligns closely with the development and layout adjustment needs of Jiangsu's petrochemical industry, providing robust energy support for the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region.
