Registration has recently opened for the 2026 Shanwei E-Commerce Specialist Vocational Skills Competition.
The event is closely aligned with the city's "Hundreds of Counties, Thousands of Towns, and Ten Thousand Villages" initiative, under the theme "Skills Shine in Shanwei, Commerce Reaches the World." It aims to cultivate local e-commerce talent, empower the digital transformation of distinctive industries, broaden online sales channels for quality Shanwei products, and support the high-quality development of the city's real economy.
The competition is hosted by the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, and organized by the Urban District Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and Shanwei Technician College.
The competition is scheduled for late October, with the venue set at Shanwei Technician College.
The competition category is E-Commerce Specialist (Online Merchant), divided into two groups: Technician and Senior Worker. Each group will register, set questions, score, and award prizes independently.
There will be no separate theoretical examination. Theoretical knowledge will be integrated into practical assessments. Combining Shanwei's local industry characteristics, the competition will focus on evaluating contestants' professional abilities in e-commerce marketing, competitor analysis, business data processing, and operational practice.
The competition offers generous incentives: each of the two groups will award 2 first prizes, 4 second prizes, and 6 third prizes. Contestants who pass the assessment and rank in the top 50% of total participants will receive an Excellence Award.
Contestants who win an Excellence Award or above may, in accordance with regulations, be issued a corresponding level of national vocational skill certificate for E-Commerce Specialist by Shanwei Technician College. Those who win first prize in the Technician group and meet the criteria may be promoted one level (Senior Technician). Units with strong organizational efforts and outstanding contestant performance will be awarded an Excellent Organization plaque.
Registration is open to individuals aged 16 or above who are registered residents of Shanwei or who live, work, or study in the city. Contestants applying for the Technician group must hold a Senior Worker or above vocational skill certificate in E-Commerce Specialist or a related field.
Notably, individuals who have been awarded titles such as "Guangdong Provincial Technical Expert," "Nanyue Technical Expert," "National Technical Expert," or "China Skills Grand Prize," as well as those who have previously won first prize in provincial-level or above "Cantonese Cuisine Master" series skills competitions, are not eligible to participate.
The registration deadline is October 23, and both individual applications and unified recommendations from organizations are accepted.
In addition, the event is concurrently accepting nominations for referee candidates. Vocational colleges and industry enterprises are welcome to recommend qualified personnel to participate in judging the competition.
