Recently, Ms. Han reached out to Hangzhou media for help: she runs a business in Henan Province and traveled to Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province on a business trip in late October. She had booked a Xiaomi SU7 online in advance, and the rental party was Hangzhou Cheyida Automobile Service Co., Ltd. After picking up the car, she felt the vehicle had safety hazards.

Ms. Han said: Renting a car like this to me created a safety hazard. Fortunately, I was relatively lucky and nothing happened on the highway. If something had happened to me, I have two companies under my name, more than a dozen employees, and our whole extended family. I also have a younger sister who is only 8 years old and in second grade. If I asked you to bear the expenses for all these people in my family, could you afford it?

The page showed this was a new car within half a year. Ms. Han rented it for a total of 18 hours and paid more than 1,100 yuan online. On October 22, Ms. Han said that when leaving the parking lot, the vehicle's steering wheel suddenly failed, and she almost hit the wall. Unexpectedly, on October 23, while driving from Jingshan in Yuhang to Binjiang District, another situation occurred.

Ms. Han said: During the highway drive, there were many trucks. The steering wheel failed twice, and I almost hit the guardrail and almost hit a truck. At that time, I was very worried and frightened, so I got off the highway at the nearest exit. When I got off the highway, a nail had pierced the right rear tire, and the tire pressure warning came on immediately. I pulled over, called Xiaomi's rescue phone number, and the vehicle was towed to a nearby repair shop.

The shop technician inspected it and found that this was a major accident vehicle. Ms. Han felt that the rental party had concealed information about the vehicle's accident repairs, and she did not want to continue renting the car. She originally wanted to preserve evidence and send the vehicle for inspection so the other party could not take it away. Because of this, she clashed with the person who came to collect the car and called the police. Eventually, the vehicle was taken away by the rental party on October 24.

The reporter contacted Mr. Li, the owner of Hangzhou Cheyida Automobile Service Co., Ltd. He said the repair amount was not that high, that the vehicle had been repaired by a qualified repair shop and had obtained a vehicle qualification certificate, and he also said Ms. Li could resolve the matter through judicial procedures.

Ms. Han did not accept Mr. Li's statement and said she is considering resolving the matter through legal channels.

The platform responded that regarding the user-reported issues related to the steering wheel and other matters, the merchant reported that the vehicle did not experience related malfunctions or malfunction prompts during the rental period. At present, the platform has coordinated with the store to entrust a qualified third-party institution to conduct a safety technical inspection of the vehicle, with the cost borne by the platform. In addition, during communication, the store has provided a full refund plan for the order. If the user incurs direct losses due to this incident and provides valid expense vouchers, the platform will continue to push for a resolution.
