In early Tuesday trading, semiconductor equipment company Aehr Test Systems (AEHR) plummeted 24.9% after reporting a backlog of $15.5 million and announcing plans to increase manufacturing capacity fivefold. The company is optimistic about growth opportunities in the AI market, with a leading hyperscale enterprise placing a significant order for its Sonoma system. Aehr Test Systems reported first-quarter revenue of $11 million, down from $13.1 million in the same period last year.
