Deep News08-03

COWELL (01415) shares surged more than 4% in intraday trading, currently up 2.91% to 21.20 Hong Kong dollars, with turnover reaching 53.1891 million Hong Kong dollars.

The company issued a profit alert, expecting first-half 2026 revenue to reach approximately 1.525 billion to 1.685 billion US dollars, compared to about 1.36 billion US dollars in the same period of 2025. Net profit for the period is expected to increase by 27% to 40%, reaching 85 million to 94 million US dollars, compared to 67 million US dollars in the same period of 2025.

China Merchants Securities noted that, based on calculations, the first-half net profit margin further improved, rising 0.64 percentage points year-on-year to 5.6%, matching the level for the full year of last year. The first-half performance exceeded expectations, consistent with earlier forecasts, mainly due to stronger-than-expected iPhone sales in the first half, as well as the company's market share gains, improved production yield, and efficient cost control as an alpha factor. Additionally, despite rising raw material costs in the first half, the company still managed to drive a year-on-year increase in net profit margin through improved operational efficiency.
