At the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC), Beijing Kingsoft Office Software,Inc. hosted its "2026 AI Productivity Conference" in Shanghai, where it launched two new AI-powered office assistants designed for both individual and organizational use cases.
The company introduced a new AI-native office product named "Lingxi Pro" aimed at individual users. Unlike common AI chatbots, Lingxi Pro is positioned as a "professional personal office assistant." It goes beyond simple content generation, understanding tasks and leveraging a user's document history and work context to directly produce usable, deliverable office results such as editable PowerPoint presentations, spreadsheets with preserved formulas, and documents ready for review.
"There are many AIs on the market that are good at chatting, but few that can directly deliver usable results," stated Tian Ran, Assistant President of Beijing Kingsoft Office Software,Inc.. He explained that the goal of Lingxi Pro is not merely to add AI to an office suite, but to build an office suite from the ground up around AI, fundamentally redefining the form of office software.
Tian Ran emphasized that documents, as a form of human language and a medium for communication, will not become obsolete in the AI era but will instead grow in importance. Lingxi Pro deeply integrates with WPS's native APIs to ensure its outputs are genuine, editable, reviewable, and properly formatted native documents, spreadsheets, and presentations, rather than unmodifiable images or collections of text boxes.
For enterprise organizations, the company announced the upgrade of WPS 365 into a comprehensive AI office platform, marking the industry's first implementation of an "Enterprise Brain." A key new component of this platform, "WPS Comate," was officially unveiled, following two years of technical refinement and market validation.
Wang Dong, Vice President of Beijing Kingsoft Office Software,Inc., outlined a systematic framework for deploying AI at the organizational level, detailing six essential steps for enterprises to effectively leverage AI. Demonstrations of the professional capabilities of both Lingxi Pro and WPS Comate are scheduled from July 17th to 20th.
During the conference, Zhang Qingyuan, CEO of Beijing Kingsoft Office Software,Inc., stated that office software is entering its third major era—transitioning from standalone and collaborative office tools to AI-powered office solutions. "AI is not just reconstructing the software; it's reconstructing the paradigm of how work gets done: in the past, people operated the software; today, people set the goals, and AI participates in completing them," he remarked.
