GTHT has released a research report indicating that the smart glasses supply chain is poised to enter a phase of rapid growth, with related companies expected to benefit from an upcoming cyclical upturn. The catalyst is Huawei's significant new product launch: AI glasses that are the first in the industry to support the HDR Vivid standard combined with AI algorithms, focusing on superior imaging capabilities. The product features a self-developed AI glasses chip and a distributed dual-frequency antenna, integrates the Xiaoyi AI assistant, and achieves response times in seconds. The main points from GTHT are as follows.

The design philosophy prioritizes lightweight construction, achieving an optimal balance of minimal weight, stability, and fit. The entire device weighs approximately 35.5 grams, compared to around 40 grams for competing products like Xiaomi's AI glasses and Leinuo's V3 model. The temple arms are slimmed down to 6.25 millimeters, making the overall lightweight design superior to current mainstream AI glasses. It utilizes a golden triangle balance architecture and a proprietary titanium alloy constant-force hinge, which improves stability by 21%. The nose pads feature an adjustable design and are made from wavy-patterned soft silicone material to ensure balanced weight distribution and a secure, comfortable fit.

As the industry's first product to support the HDR Vivid standard alongside AI algorithms, it emphasizes exceptional imaging performance. Equipped with a 12-megapixel ultra-sensitive camera, a large 1/2.8-inch sensor that allows 26% more light intake than comparable products, and high-transmittance 6P optical lenses, the glasses significantly enhance light capture and image purity. This is further boosted by an AI RAW domain multi-frame fusion algorithm optimized for a first-person perspective, enabling high-quality results in both day and night conditions.

The proprietary AI chip substantially enhances the user experience, while integration with the Huawei ecosystem enables a wide range of functions. The product is powered by a self-developed AI glasses chip, differentiating it from mainstream platforms like the Qualcomm Snapdragon, and includes a distributed dual-frequency antenna that extends Bluetooth call connectivity range by 61% compared to current market leaders. With access to the Xiaoyi AI assistant, it delivers instantaneous responses. Furthermore, the glasses are deeply integrated with the HarmonyOS 6 operating system, allowing for seamless cross-device collaboration with other Huawei products. They support first-person live streaming and video calls, are compatible with platforms such as Douyin, Xiaohongshu, Kuaishou, and Bilibili, and feature functions like "Take a Look to Pay" with Alipay.

The product offers a variety of frame styles to cater to diverse preferences and is positioned in the mid-to-high-end market with corresponding pricing. The initial launch includes four SKUs available in three colors—Streamer Silver, Titanium Gray, and Modern Black—and three frame shapes: round (semi-rimless and full-rim) and square. The starting price is 2,499 yuan for the Titanium Gray and Modern Black models, while the Streamer Silver version is priced at 2,899 yuan. Sales begin on April 25. Early buyers can avail themselves of a "1 Yuan Prescription Lenses" service on Huawei's official store.

Risks highlighted include persistently rising raw material costs and a potential worsening of competitive dynamics within the industry.
